The PowerEdge C6220 uses DDR3 memory to provide a high-performance, high-speed memory interface capable of low-latency response and high throughput. The PowerEdge C6220 supports registered ECC DDR3 DIMMs (RDIMM) and unbuffered DIMMs (UDIMM); standard-voltage and low-voltage DIMMs are both available. The system contains 16 memory sockets split into two sets of eight slots, one set per each processor. Each eight-slot set is organized into four channels of two memory slots per channel. The DDR3 memory interface consists of four channels, with up to two RDIMMs or UDIMMs per channel. The system supports 4GB UDIMMs and 4GB, 8GB, 16GB or 32GB RDIMMs. The memory mode depends on how the memory is populated in the system.
