Pros: This replaced a 20 year old Royal shredder. This unit provides a true micro cross cut shred; the pieces come out small and wrinkled up. Maybe not good enough for DoD-TS, but great for home or business. It runs much quieter than the old shredder and is easy to put up with in our living room. Addition of credit card and CD shredding is a big plus. The nice, big catch bucket will take a while to fill. The auto-stop function works well and is very convenient; it waits about 4 seconds after the page is through. Just right, so if there is a follow-on page to shred, the motor does not constantly stop and start.
Cons: It does take about 6 seconds to “eat” an 8.5″ x 11″ piece of paper. If very high-speed, volume destruction is your need, this would not be the best choice.
Overall Review: This is priced right for home or office use with micro cross-cut shredding. I recommend this shredder.
